PARK GUIDE

Exploration Peak Park

An unmistakable landmark. A fresh perspective on the neighborhood.

A VIEW ABOVE THE EVERYDAY

Views & play, close to home.

Make this your starting point for seeing how Mountains Edge meets the desert. A park-level visit and a walk toward the summit offer two very different ways to spend an afternoon.

Get a feel for the park.

Clark County describes a park with developed recreation areas and open space around Exploration Peak. The summit sits at 2,846 feet above sea level; that number is not the elevation gain of the walk.

Plan a visit that fits your day.

  1. Choose the experience first: a playground visit, time in the picnic area or a walk toward the peak.
  2. For a summit visit, look over the posted route before starting and allow time for the return.
  3. Keep a shorter park-level plan in mind if the weather or your group’s energy changes.

Make a little more of your outing.

Follow a park visit with a meal along Blue Diamond Road.
