Get a feel for the park.

Clark County lists sports fields, trails, playgrounds and large picnic areas. The regional park is managed by the county separately from the master association’s community parks.

Plan a visit that fits your day.

  1. Pick a meeting point before arriving; a large park can make “meet at the playground” imprecise.
  2. Check the county’s reservation information if you want to organize a picnic or group visit.
  3. For a neighborhood tour, walk the route you would actually use from the home rather than judging distance on a map.

Make a little more of your outing.

Use the parkway as a starting point for comparing nearby neighborhood layouts.
